AI Engineer

Full-time Remote / Timisoara, Romania

About the Role

We're looking for an AI engineer to own our video generation pipeline end-to-end. You'll work with state-of-the-art video models, optimize inference performance, and build the backend systems that connect everything together.

This isn't a research role. You'll ship production code that processes thousands of video generation requests. You'll evaluate new models as they come out, integrate them into our pipeline, and make sure they work reliably at scale.

You'll be the 4th person on the team. That means you'll have a direct say in what we build and how we build it. No tickets assigned to you — you'll help decide what matters.

What You'll Do

  • Own the video generation pipeline: text-to-video, image-to-video, audio generation
  • Evaluate and integrate new AI video models (HunyuanVideo, Wan2.1, emerging models)
  • Optimize inference performance on RunPod GPU infrastructure
  • Build and maintain Celery task pipelines for async video processing
  • Design Django backend APIs for video generation and management
  • Monitor production systems, debug failures, and improve reliability
  • Work directly with users to understand what they need

What We're Looking For

  • Strong Python skills — you'll write Django, Celery, and inference code daily
  • Experience with AI/ML model deployment (not just training — actual production inference)
  • Comfortable with Linux, Docker, and GPU infrastructure
  • Experience with REST APIs and async task processing
  • Ability to read model papers and translate them into working code
  • Self-directed — we don't micromanage, you need to figure out what to do and do it

Nice to Have

  • Experience with video generation models (HunyuanVideo, CogVideoX, Stable Video Diffusion)
  • Familiarity with ComfyUI and workflow-based inference
  • Experience with RunPod or similar GPU cloud platforms
  • Django experience (our entire backend is Django)
  • Contributions to open-source AI projects
