A print, a cleanup, and a short motion are three different jobs. Sisif takes only the last one. Whatever scan you upload is the picture that moves.
Scan one print, not the album page
Photograph or scan one print. A face that fills the frame has more room to move than a face that is a small part of a group. Creases, grain, and fading stay in the file you upload, unless you clean them somewhere else first.
You need the right to use the photograph. The form asks you to confirm that. The checkbox reads "I have the right to use this photo."
Restoration happens in another tool
Sisif does not restore a print, does not colorize it, and does not redraw it as a new photograph. Scratches and fading stay. If you want a cleaned or color picture, do that in a tool built for it, then upload the result.
MyHeritage is one suite that does restoration and animation together. The notes below are from MyHeritage's own pages, read October 11, 2026, in the US dollars a US visitor was shown. This article does not use a price that those pages do not list.
- What is Deep Nostalgia describes face animation: the faces move, blink, and smile, driven by recorded driver videos. The help text calls the results short animated videos and does not state a length.
- Deep Nostalgia for family photos says other MyHeritage users can create several animations for free. Free animations carry the MyHeritage logo at the bottom right. Paid animations are logo-free. The page says every animation carries authenticity icons. It also says a Complete subscription includes unlimited use. The photo is enhanced before it is animated.
- LiveMemory says it animates the scene in the photo, lists 10 custom animations, and describes a 5-second video clip. The list includes hugging, kissing, dancing, laughing, and singing.
- What LiveMemory costs says anyone can try LiveMemory for free, for a limited number of videos. It says the Photo plan includes 20 videos a year and Omni includes 30 videos a year. The article is dated July 21, 2026, and it does not give a Photo plan price.
- The Photo subscription says Deep Nostalgia is included in that subscription. It does not put a price on this page.
- MyHeritage pricing, as rendered October 11, 2026, lists Premium at $129 a year (first year $89), PremiumPlus at $209 ($149), Data at $189 ($129), Complete at $299 ($199), and Omni at $399 ($239). The Photo plan is not on that price list. This article does not state a Photo plan price.
Dividing an Omni subscription by 30 videos is not a price MyHeritage sells for one video. The plan is a bundle. Deep Nostalgia on Complete is unlimited on that bundle, so it is not a per-animation price either. The LiveMemory help text does not state whether those clips carry a watermark.
One Sisif clip is $1, paid once, with no watermark and no subscription required. The file is a silent 5-second portrait MP4 at 540x960. You choose the move with a sentence. Restoration, if you want it, stays in the other tool.
Then the scan moves
Open Old photos. Old photo comes alive fills:
"An old photograph comes alive. The person blinks and looks up."
For a quieter clip, Memorial photos uses Memorial, gentle:
"The person in the photo is still, then offers a small smile. Soft light."
The memorial move is a small smile. It is not a claim that the person has come back, and it does not repair the print.
The upload is stored as a JPEG, long edge at or under 2048 pixels. The pay page shows the product name, the photo when one is attached, and the price. It does not print the prompt. A prompt longer than 500 characters is shortened before you pay. The file is ready in 2-5 minutes.
Family photos is the page for a group. How to animate a photo is the full upload guide. A second motion is a second clip at $1.
Renders of these moves
Featured renders of the Animate a photo moves show under this heading when a finished clip for that move has been marked featured. The old-photo sentence and the memorial sentence are two of those moves. Until a clip is featured, the slot is empty.
What the file will and will not do
The clip is silent. Add music later, in an editor, if you want it. The photograph is not redrawn into a new portrait. The render can still change how the scan looks, so upload the scan you want to see moving.
